Last Chance for a Summer Experience

Tips for traveling more responsibly | Work-Life Balance | Road Tripping

Labor Day is the last chance for a summer experience. Marc and I love mini road trips on the weekends, and Labor Day is no exception! Whether it’s bingo and hayride at our local campground, a dip in the pool, or live music in the park Labor Day is a way we can support small local businesses! So, join us virtually and celebrate the achievements of the workers with a bunch of exciting activities and things to do in your local community.

Rebuilding Sustainable Travel

There are opportunities to rebuild the way we travel while being mindful of the sustainability of travel for people of all ages and physical abilities. Sustainability harmonizes environmental, economic, and social well-being. As many regions around the country are continually recovering from COVID-19, safety guidelines have been introduced at attractions, restaurants, shops, and hotels.

  • Many public parks, in the door, and other outdoor spaces require masks or proof of vaccination.
  • Call ahead and ask for the destination’s Covid-19 guidelines to avoid surprises with the kids.
  • Pack extra hand sanitizer and masks.
  • If you are vaccinated, carry your vaccination card.
  • Look but don’t touch and leave the destination as you found it.

Attend, Share & Influence!

Not feeling adventurous enough for a weekend jaunt around the world, get local and get in tune with the most relevant events happening around you. Look for a quintessential retreat in your own public city park or national forest. Whichever you decide, make sure to explore concerts, parties, adventure trips, and maybe a parade, and make the Labor Day weekend unforgettable!
